Lean on Me is painted with black India ink and handmade natural inks using nut shells from local trees. It is painted on sketch pad paper and is one in a series of winter paintings that came out of ravine walks in Toronto.
In Lean on Me one can see a centre "mother tree" with two other trees. There is a relaxed ease as they lean back into and support each other..
